The good thing when someone says no to your proposition is either you taught them or you should learn.

If you’re receiving “no" for a legitimate proposition you’re teaching someone.

If you’re getting “no" for a random proposition you should learn from them.

The point is not to learn to say “no". It is to learn to find out legitimate vs. random proposition

We started taking PHP/MySQL classes on Semicolon Developers.

It has been exactly one month today (April 19th to May 19th) and our students are collaborating/SCM on creating “Simple PHP Forum" application and “News CMS". We have five students (two groups) who are learning Web application development with PHP/MySQL.

I am thinking to write a long article about how we teach at Semicolon. Let me find some time to do that, may be this Friday eve.

Two ways to think of quality:

1. A pen will write

• functional requirement
• idea that things will work as they are supposed to

2. A pen will write in a way that is pleasing to the writer, and leave behind ink that is pleasing to the reader.

• idea that things should have an aesthetic quality

Let’s combine them as Quality product = functionality + aesthetic value.

If something doesn’t look “pleasing" despite all those essential functionality, it might not leave impression of the creator’s identity.

The first one is called atarimae hinshitsu & the second one miryokuteki hinshitsu in Japanese.

Husienberg’s uncertainity principle explains about the relation of position, mass and velocity of a body. His theory explains:-" when the velocity is gradually increasing, the mass and position of a body, at the same rate, becomes uncertain". It is applicable for not only body but anybody. If you are speeding up faster to achieve your goal, then you cannot judge the direction. Just like a man in running bike cannot judge a man crossing the road.

Being hasty reduces your efficiency. So first, its necessary to learn about the destination you want to reach. Then judge your capacity to make the journey, if you are hungry in the beginning you cannot make it. So basic requirement is obligatory, otherwise you are going to be tired in some miles. Make a itinerary of your journey, so that you won’t be confused which way to go, midway. Evaluate your performance time to time and go ahead steadily, don’t stop. You are not going to loose bcoz you have already started it and there are people who are just thinking to start the same thing you are going to finish.

Don’t run just follow your goal, so that you can observe every instance of your experience, feel every moment of stepping towards the goal, learn to solve problems from every difficulties you encountered and worked out. This will not only make you successful but will give you courage to sustain it for moments.

will give you pleasure once you complete drawing it, draw horizontally or draw vertically doesn’t matters - what matters is completing the assignment in time.

The simple answer is trust, passion, courage and brains.

• In a trusting environment, stakeholders can rely on their designers’ gut instincts.
• Where there is passion, the will to make meaningful progress will flourish.
• Courage enables designers to take risk and bring cutting-edge designs to market.
• Brains - not genius, but real-world, common-sense brains - bring it all together.

All four of these qualities must exist simultaneously to make a good environment. Take one away, and the environment will eventually become dysfunctional.

Your self-impression = How people perceive you

It is

what people expect of you.
it’s created by everything you do and how you do it.
your values, beliefs, choices, actions, images, etc.
it provides the reason why someone will like you, love you, choose you and hire you .

Whether or not you put effort into developing and managing your brand, you will have one.

This is not to be interpreted as being artificial and creating an image that is not real to you, it is about taking the opportunity to be cognizant of your choices and emphasize the attributes that you want others to associate with you. It’s about “becoming more of who you are."

The process of personal branding is about taking control of your identity and harnessing its power to facilitate achieving your goals.

Picture an egg. Day after day, it sits there. No one pays attention to it. No one notices it. Certainly no one takes a picture of it or puts it on the cover of a celebrity-focused business magazine. Then one day, the shell cracks and out jumps a chicken.

All of a sudden, the major magazines and newspapers jump on the story: “Stunning Turnaround at Egg!” and “The Chick Who Led the Breakthrough at Egg!” From the outside, the story always reads like an overnight sensation—as if the egg had suddenly and radically altered itself into a chicken.

Now picture the egg from the chicken’s point of view.

While the outside world was ignoring this seemingly dormant egg, the chicken within was evolving, growing, developing—changing. From the chicken’s point of view, the moment of breakthrough, of cracking the egg, was simply one more step in a long chain of steps that had led to that moment. Granted, it was a big step—but it was hardly the radical transformation that it looked like from the outside.

It’s a silly analogy, but then our conventional way of looking at change is no less silly. Everyone looks for the “miracle moment” when “change happens.” But ask the good-to-great executives when change happened. They cannot pinpoint a single key event that exemplified their successful transition.

Programming is not just writing “code”. It is a philosophy, it is the power of programmer to understand and solve a problem in terms of chosen set of keywords and constructs. If you have interest in computers and codes obviously we can guide you to write good programs that suck less and run smooth.

We don’t write code because we can write code. We write, because writing code is our passion. We see literature and philosophy in codes. Code is our poetry. We don’t teach you to just become a coder, we teach you to understand overall programming as an art. Yes, we believe in creation and art is where creation is. Programming is art and a programmer is artist of her own.

We teach you standards, we teach you the root. We teach you programming as a interest and not as a job or some time pass material. We will do our best to give you skill that radiates not just sells. We teach you to write programs for others, we teach you to collaborate and contribute. We teach you to make your own logical reasoning about solving problems.

Programming is not that hard, you see it’s like if you can draw few basic geometrical primitives you can draw a magnificent piece of art, we will teach you the confidence.
