How to roast your msn, yahoo, aim, facebook or any im account inside a single gTalk account?

I successfully loaded all my contacts from msn & yahoo to my gTalk. What i always wanted was a single im account that would allow me to communicate with all my other im contacts. Since, these im providers are all proprietary and would not facilitate im interchange between their network, i was always searching for the trick to add/roast them in single account. Got a link today, which describes how to connect your gTalk to your MSN, Yahoo, AIM or any other network. Thanks to XMPP/Jabber (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol) . Every im which supports Jabber can be roasted in to other ims.

Download Psi, Setup your gTalk, Choose a jabber server from the list: http://xmpp.org/services/ and register to them. Next time onwards, login to gTalk and there you’ll see all your MSN, Yahoo or AIM contacts. No need to always login to Psi onwards.

Facebook has recently launched Jabber support, this would mean that we can roast facebook too in our gTalk acount. I tried to find a Jabber Transport that supports facebook chat but couldn’t find it. If you know any facebook transport please comment.

Happy that i can get in touch with my all buddies in MSN, Yahoo from my single gTalk account. Further, when you go outside without your PC, gTalk loads inside Gmail ;) The most exciting part!

Thanks to Jeff for the step by step post.
